Cava makers for over 75 years
THE METHOD
Mas Oliver us the result of a collective effort by a family for over 75 years. Even today, the artisan elaboration and ageing in cellars is conscientously respected.
Constant and meticulous care is required bottle by bottle in some tasks. For example, the wine clarification in the classic pupitreor the procedure of disgorgement to eliminate the residue from the yeast.
As a result of this process, we archive a high quality Cava.
Our cava is the result of a blend of wines carefully selected from the traditional grape varieties grown in Penedès region: Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada.
OUR HISTORY
Cava Mas Oliver is a familiar-owned company with a long tradition of cava elaboration. Its beginning goes back to the year 1929 and it has evolved over four generations becoming one of the most ancient Cavas from Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the capital of cava.
The brand was born from the combination of surnames of founders: the wine-maker Joan Carbó Mas and her wife Francesca Vilanova Oliver. Subsequently, it has been consolidated by their sons Joan and Jaume Carbó Vilanova.
The company is currently run by the third generation ensuring the artisan elaboration and ageing process.
